Cinque Ports Mobility provides assessment-led wheelchair and clinical mobility solutions across Kent and the South East, supporting individuals with complex and changing needs. We work with private clients and professional referrers, including case managers and therapists, across powered wheelchairs, active wheelchairs, specialist seating and much more.

With almost 30 years’ experience in the mobility industry, our approach is practical, independent, and focused on long-term outcomes. Assessments can be carried out at our Ashford, Kent showroom — including a private clinic room — or in the client’s home where appropriate.

Our Powerchair Range

We offer a wide range of powerchairs, from compact indoor and travel-friendly models that fold for easy transport, through to versatile everyday chairs designed for mixed indoor and outdoor use.

For users who spend longer periods in their chair or need more support, we also supply advanced powerchairs with powered seating functions such as tilt, recline and seat elevation.

At the more capable end of the spectrum are outdoor-focused and off-road designs, built for distance, terrain and confidence beyond pavements.

Each type serves a different purpose, and choosing the right one is less about “best” and more about how and where the chair will be used day to day.

Our Active Wheelchair Range

Our active wheelchairs range from ultra-light rigid designs built for maximum efficiency, through to adjustable models that balance performance with long-term flexibility.

Some prioritise the lowest possible weight and a highly responsive ride, while others retain more adjustment to allow fine-tuning over time or compatibility with different seating and add-ons.

The right choice depends on how the chair will be used, how much adjustability is needed, and where performance matters most in daily life.

Our Process

When you contact Cinque Ports Mobility, the next steps are simple and unhurried. Most enquiries begin via our self-referral form, though phone and email are equally welcome. A member of our team will respond — typically within two working days — to understand your needs and arrange the most appropriate next step.

This may involve completing a referral form or a short telephone discussion to establish complexity, funding routes, and suitability before booking an assessment. Wherever possible, assessments take place at our Ashford showroom, where we have a full range of equipment available to trial, including facilities for safe transfers. Home visits are arranged when attending in person is not possible.

Assessments are exploratory and pressure-free. Time is always given to ask questions, consider options, and decide what feels right. Handover is completed in person, with full setup and follow-up support built in.
