Scooters are the perfect companion for anyone who is experiencing difficulty with their day to day mobility. Scooters come in lots of different shapes and sizes depending on the amount of use they’re expected to get and the sort of terrain they’re likely to be used on.
Scooters are usually divided into three major categories: Car Transportable, Class 2 and Class 3 (even though car transportable scooters are all class 2 too.)
Car Transportable scooters are the most portable and they often break down into a number of separate components for easy transport. This portability means they are usually limited in power, range and stability.
Class 2 scooters are generally a little larger than car transportable scooters, with much larger batteries, an increased footprint (increasing stability) and more powerful motors.
Class 3 scooters are road-going scooters which often have battery ranges of between 20 and 30 miles and can go up to 8mph. They are usually the most powerful too, able to conquer a greater range of terrains and inclines, and are commonly the most comfortable too over long distance.
